Do I need to replace my flat tire, or can it be repaired?
At New Rochelle Roadside Assistance, we certainly know how much of a hassle it is to replace a tire. It can be a very time consuming and expensive experience. For that reason, our roadside technicians work hard to see if there is any way to safely repair a flat tire, instead of replacing it. However, sometimes the damage to a tire is so severe that there is simply no safe way to repair the tire. We would never recommend driving on such a tire, as it could cause severe damage to your vehicle, and lead to serious injury, or death. In order to determine if you need a new tire or if your tire can be repaired, call 914-768-4600 and we would be more than happy to assist you.
Does my car battery need to be replaced or can it be recharged?
Depending on various factors, such as battery life, usage history, and car model, the circumstance will be different. Our roadside technicians carry the equipment necessary to perform diagnostics on the battery in order to determine the best path forward. Either way, we can help you out.
Can you help me during late night hours?
Absolutely! That’s what we do. Our call center operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so that whenever you call, someone will be there to help you out.
Does an automatic transmission vehicle require a flatbed tow truck for towing, or can a tow dolly style truck be used?
Tow dolly style tow trucks lift up all of the vehicle’s wheels so that there is no contact with the ground. However, some manufacturers do not recommend this, and so a flatbed truck may be required for long distance towing.
Are your technicians aware of the specific towing practices for my vehicle?
Every year, a report is distributed to towing services across the nation, and this report includes common guidelines for towing which were put together by multiple manufacturers. This helps make sure that the service professionals are properly trained to care for your vehicle in the correct manner.
Will my vehicle be damaged when being towed with a conventional tow truck, and passing over road bumps?
When a vehicle is towed using a conventional tow truck, the road vibrations and bumps are almost completely absorbed by the suspension of the tow truck itself. However, if you would feel more comfortable having your vehicle towed using a flatbed tow truck, we would be more than happy to provide you with the service.
Are the roadside assistance technicians properly trained?
Absolutely. Technicians must train under an experienced specialist for an extended period in order to prove that they are able to complete all of the tasks required on the job.
Are the tow trucks properly maintained?
Yes. Tow trucks must pass yearly inspections by the U.S. Department of Transportation in order to ensure safety and reliability.
If my vehicle is totaled, where should I have it sent?
If you vehicle is insured, then we recommend that you have your vehicle sent to a professional storage yard for multiple reasons. First, most insurance companies will cover your towing bill. Also, insurance adjusters make routine/scheduled stops at professional yards. This leads to less waiting time and saved money on storage fees.
Do you provide towing services for motorcycles?
Yes. When you call 914-768-4600, let our dispatcher know exactly what type of vehicle you will need towing services for. That way, we can ensure that all necessary equipment is sent with the technician in order to properly tow your vehicle.
Can an all wheel drive vehicle be towed using a conventional tow truck?
Yes. Tow dolly style tow trucks lift up all of the vehicle’s wheels so that there is no contact with the ground. However, if you feel more comfortable having your vehicle towed on a flatbed truck, we would be more than happy to accommodate your request.
